REC achieves UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) accreditation

Approved Training Provider Logo - Awareness

REC is pleased to announce that we are now a UKATA approved asbestos training provider. The UKATA accreditation further demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest standards of asbestos advice for our clients.

Asbestos Awareness Training is designed for employees affected by work activities where asbestos containing materials may be present and whose work could foreseeably disturb the fabric of a building and expose them to asbestos or who supervise or influence such work. The training is also useful for anyone requiring a better understanding of the basic elements of asbestos awareness. In particular, it should be given to those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that ACMs may become exposed during their work.

REC’s Asbestos Awareness Training also develops occupiers’ knowledge of the hazards and risks posed by asbestos containing materials (ACM’s). The training further gives an overview of legislative measures in place to permit employees to safeguard themselves and others affected by work activities.

REC Head of Asbestos, Scott Bentley says:
“The UKATA accreditation further supports the quality asbestos training we provide for our clients. Asbestos awareness is crucial for anyone who has responsibility for the management and upkeep of buildings therefore utilising an accredited training provider gives our clients the confidence they require. This is great achievement for REC.”

As a fully UKATA accredited asbestos training provider, REC is well placed to provide you with the training that you require. If you have an asbestos training requirement call the team on 0845 676 9303 or email
