REC was appointed as the lead consultant to a large United Kingdom Housing Association, this included undertaking 10,000+ management surveys as well as surveying properties prior to any refurbishment programmes being undertaken. REC was also employed to undertake the management of all asbestos removal works within the association, this included writing a removal tender document, procuring the recommended contractor(s) and managing all works from instruction, completion through to updating the online management portal system and register that was bespoke to the client.
Surveys teams based geographically in each area were deployed accordingly to ensure local social value, ensuring local employment and the local community benefited from the project. A centrally based support team was administered along with a personal account and contract manager to ensure consistent reporting, communication and delivery throughout the United Kingdom. REC liaised with Tenants, Care home Managers, Office managers and the client to ensure suitable dates and times for appointments were achieved. Budget control was managed along with the client appointed contract managers for each region, ensuring that spend was controlled throughout the project duration. REC was also able to deploy female surveyors for areas which included victims of domestic violence as we strive to cover all potential situations that we may come across during any project, this also includes client approved letters which contain translations for many different languages.
The service provided was professional, controlled and to the satisfaction of the client and following on from the successful running of this contract the Housing Association recommended REC’s services to a combined Housing Association in a nearby area which is testament to how successfully managed the project has been.
