REC Sponsors Women In Property’s Cocktail Evening

Women In Property

REC has been head-quartered in Manchester since the late 1990s. Now a national provider of environmental consultancy services (particularly in the property sector), it has never lost sight of its northern heritage, nor the importance of promoting and developing its staff. So, after hearing of the success of Women In Property’s events, it seemed like the natural next step for REC to get involved and became an active member.

For this reason, before we all broke up for Christmas and gained a few extra pounds, REC sponsored WIP’s prestigious Christmas cocktails at Manchester House. Organised by WIP’s Emma Richman, the event welcomed over 100 key Women In Property guests to a sophisticated evening of cocktails, networking and tinsel. With an initial drinks reception and canapés upon arrival, everyone was encouraged to get tucked in whilst networking with both new and familiar faces.

As the sponsor for the event, REC representatives, Air Quality Consultant Jazz Rhoades, and Ecological Consultant, Olivia Winter both attended. Jazz Rhoades commented on the night, ‘Women In Property events such as these are a fantastic way to break out of the standard working environment and interact with like-minded women. It’s great to see such an array of prominent female figureheads from within the industry’.

As the evening came to a close, REC’s Olivia Winter, rounded off the event, giving an insightful speech into what Women In Property means for her, ‘Starting off as a graduate in 2015, WIP was my first ever networking event –  and walking into a room of professional women was incredibly nerve racking. But little did I know that I’d be back a year later standing in front of them all, talking about my experience. Having continued my membership throughout 2016 and beyond, I have found being part of the WIP community has helped me progress quickly within my career, and made me more confident as a person. I really can’t recommend the group enough’.

REC would like to give a big thanks to Women In Property for allowing us to join forces with your group – one that has clearly made a positive impact on many of our employees. We would also like to thank Olivia and Jazz for doing such a great job of representing the company!
