Trainee Stack Monitoring Technicians |

Overview:
REC is looking to appoint trainee stack monitoring technicians in its Birmingham and Manchester offices. The work will involve monitoring of emissions from industrial processes. This will require some working at heights and working outdoors and away from base. Staff will be enrolled on the MCERTS Training scheme and undergo full internal training. Overview:
REC wishes to employ Ecology Consultants in both our Manchester and Birmingham offices. Candidates should possess a degree in Biology, Botany or Ecology (with some plant biology component). They should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to prepare clear, concise reports.
Candidates should also hold a clean full driving license and be willing to work on their own initiative & out of office / away from base when required. Candidates with previous experience in ecological surveys, EIA, Phase 1 surveying, GPS surveys & mapping, identification of invasive species and species license holders (birds / bats) would be preferred. However graduates would also be considered and full training provided.

REC Remediation Ltd is seeking to recruit an Operations Manager/Director to strengthen the existing management team.
It is anticipated that the candidate will possess strong business development skills and possess a working knowledge of the relevant business sectors and be capable of working on his/her own initiative. It is also likely that the right candidate will have a strong background in the management of site operations.
The candidates should have experience in the development of tenders/proposals, management of earthwork projects, management of subcontractors and be responsible for health and safety issues on site.

Due to the continued expansion of the Fareham office, an opportunity has arisen for a senior consultant in the Geo Environmental department of the office. The ideal candidate will have around 5 years experience in environmental consultancy and preferably posses some geotechnical experience. Applicants should be fully conversant with UK risk assessment models and methodologies together with other relevant models. Good and clear report writing skills should also be demonstrated. It is envisaged that the successful applicant would spend a significant proportion of their time meeting clients, preparing quotes, overseeing field work and reporting. Candidates must have a full and clean driving license.

Senior GeoEnvironmental Consultant, Manchester |

Overview:
REC are seeking dynamic and technically competent consultants to provide our clients with geoenvironmental advice in relation to the development of sites for residential and commercial end uses. The candidates will probably have several years experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment or feel that the time is right to progress into such a role. Candidates with geotechnical experience, including foundation design, slope stability studies, earthworks design etc would be of particular interest.
The role will involve the management of site investigation and land remediation projects for a portfolio of clients which will also include the management of a several national contracts for the telecommunications sector. Candidates will therefore be required to liaise with clients, regulators and contractors and be prepared to take responsibility for financial control of projects and supervise other team members.

Overview:
REC Ltd is seeking to recruit a Senior and Principal Geotechnical Consultant for its GeoEnvironmental and Civil Engineering divisions in the Manchester headquarters office.
It is anticipated that the senior candidate will possess strong business development skills and possess a working knowledge of the relevant business sectors and be capable of working on his/her own initiative. It is likely that the right candidate will have previously been employed within a similar consultancy practice.
You will represent REC at meetings with clients and regulatory authorities. You will ideally be a Chartered Engineer with 5-10 years experience of detailed engineering design. You will have good site investigation experience and be capable of delivering high quality interpretative reports and also have sound knowledge of laboratory test methods.
Our current workload will involve you in site investigations, foundation design, slope stability, earthwork projects, contract development and contaminated land issues.

The candidates would be expected take day to day control of busy offices and supervise a team of consultants engaged in site investigation, site assessment and land remediation projects. The Regional Mangers would be expected to liase with clients and regulators and be responsible for office/project budgets and driving the development of the business within their office.
