Stack Emissions Monitoring Trainee

Location – Manchester / Birmingham.

An opportunity to join an MCERTS stack emissions testing team in conducting monitoring of industrial emissions from a wide range of industrial processes throughout the UK and Ireland with occasional international work. Training and support will be provided.

Experience / requirements:

Ideally with industrial / engineering / chemistry (e.g. lab tech) experience.
GCSE level Maths and English – Grade C or above.
Strong team working, interpersonal and communication skills.
Full clean driving licence.
Physically fit and able to work at height.
Willing to work away from home during the week and occasional weekend work (subsistence expenses will be covered).

Duties:

Supporting the team leaders in conducting testing and monitoring of industrial process emissions.
Data recording and processing.
Equipment maintenance.

CONSULTANT ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

REC Ltd is one of the UK’s leading privately owned Environmental Consultancies with offices located throughout the United Kingdom. Our Braintree office is currently looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to work with our dynamic and expanding team. The role will involve working within the established GeoEnvironmental team and key roles will include the on site supervision of environmental and geotechnical investigations, collection of samples for analysis, and the preparation of factual and interpretive reports for a wide range of clients.

Key work areas shall include:

• Phase 1 desk studies
• Site inspections
• Supervision of site investigations
• On-site monitoring and sampling
• Data input, management and interpretation
• Report writing

The successful candidate will have strong oral and written communication skills, be well organised, IT competent, have the ability to accurately measure and record environmental data and have efficient report writing skills.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in a geological or environmental discipline and hold a full driving license.

CONSULTANT ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

REC is one of the leading geo-environmental consultancies operating in regional offices throughout the UK.  The Land Group within the company is involved in:
 
 - Contaminated land investigation and risk assessment
 - Geotechnical site investigations
 - Brownfield site remediation
 - Flood risk assessments
 
Our Braintree and East Kilbride Land Groups are presently looking for Trainee Graduate Geo-environmental Consultants.  The present roles available may be offered on a part time basis, dependent upon workloads.
 
The role involves the on-site supervision of environmental and geotechnical investigations, collection of samples for laboratory testing and other field data and the preparation of factual and interpretative reports.  Candidates should possess, as a minimum, a geological, environmental or natural science based degree and good written and communication skills. 
 
Previous experience would be an advantage but not essential as full training would be provided.
