REC’s Geo-Environmental Consultant, Madeleine Ralph, received third place for her project ‘The Inferior Oolite Group of Southern England: An integrated sequence stratigraphic and stable isotope analysis’ in the Earth Model Awards 2012.
The aim of the award is to stimulate research relevant to globally significant geoscience and recognise excellence in university geoscience research at Masters level. The Awards have proved so popular that Neftex has recently announced the second round for UK Masters students in 2013, with support from the Geological Society of London.
Neftex are an Earth science research company providing geoscience products and services to the exploration industry and introduced the awards to offer prizes to the students who present the most innovative and forward-thinking research projects. Matching sums also go to their host department which in Madeleine’s case was The University of Birmingham.
The award is open to all UK-based geoscience students, with a project related to integrated global geosciences, who are currently working towards an Earth science Masters.
Madeleine is a key part of REC Geo-Environmental’s operations in the South, based from our Stansted office. For more information on any of the Geo-Environmental services offered, please click here or follow us on LinkedIn for all regular news updates.
