REC are working for an electricity network maintenance company on behalf of one of the major power providers. The job entails surveying proposed replacement and refurbishment routes from both an ecological and construction point of view. Ecologically, it is important that our client does not cause any adverse publicity for the end client, whilst REC’s construction experience allows us to advise the client on likely issues including safety, access, equipment and also any local politics. REC also provides immediate notification of any significant issues identified on the day of survey.
This is enhanced by REC using an in-house developed ‘cloud’ based reporting system which will allow the client to instantly review any identified issues. If necessary, REC can then provide additional, immediate, real time photographs.
In total, REC will be surveying between 750 and 800km of line a year, split equally between Scotland and Cheshire / Merseyside.
