
REC was formed in December 1995 and operates
in several areas of consultancy work,
namely, Geo-Environmental services,
Air Quality Assessment, and Civil Engineering.
REC also has two sister companies - Scientific
Analysis Laboratories (SAL) and REC Asbestos
Limited offering UKAS accredited services.
REC currently operates out of regional
offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Braintree,
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Huddersfield, Port
Talbot & Fareham.
Geo-Environmental
REC Geo-Environmental staff include chartered geologists, chemists, chartered
civil engineers, IEMA registered environmental auditors, geotechnical engineers
and environmental consultants.
REC’s client base includes many major development organisations; government
and local authorities; small, medium, large and multinational companies; engineers,
architects, surveyors, planning consultants, property managers and agents;
developers, financial institutions and solicitors.
REC undertakes investigations and provides
remedial advice on ground, gas and groundwater
contamination across a broad range of sites
such as fuel depots, coking plants, textile
factories, waste disposal sites, food processing
plants, resin and varnish factories, tanneries,
dockyards, railway goods yards, chemical
works, semi-conductor plants and gas works.

Air Quality
REC’s air quality staff can help
with every aspect of industrial and ambient
air pollution and have gained particular
experience in the following areas of emission
and ambient air monitoring and modelling:
the mineral Industry, municipal Incinerators,
