REC expands Rail capability in London and South East

REC have expanded their Rail capability in London and the South East, having added an additional 2 LUCAS trained geoenvironmental engineers to the team.

Following on from successful completion of projects supporting London Underground Ltd and their partners on a varied range of projects, we have increased our capacity to ensure peaks in demand can be met whilst continuing to deliver high quality geoenvironmental and ground investigation services.

This additional capacity will be particularly relevant given that, as a result of the London 2012 games, an embargo on works is in force leading to restrictions on significant amounts of work across the network and other elements of the London transport infrastructure, with the aim of mitigating potential impact to travel routes during the games. It is expected that the embargo will lead to heightened pressure to expedite the programme on a number of delayed projects and schemes as soon as works can re-commence.

By strengthening our capacity, we have ensured that we will be able to fully support our clients during what is anticipated to be a very demanding period.
