Flood Risk Assessment

REC have successfully provided flood risk assessment services on a number of sites to facilitate planning approvals. REC have a team of highly qualified hydrologists and engineers who can provide technical advice on flood risk assessment requirements for all new development sites as part of planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments.

REC Geoenvironmental's flood risk assessment services take into account the requirements set out in PPS 25, TAN 15 and SPP 7. We also have access to flood modelling capabilities in cases where a flood plain challenge is necessary.

We provide clear guidance on the issues and advice on mitigation measures to allow development in areas which are potentially at risk from fluvial, pluvial and tidal flooding. Working closely with our ground investigation team, we can also advise on groundwater flooding issues, water quality and pollution prevention.
