CDM Coordinator

CDM Coordinator (Construction Design Management) is a role advising on all aspects of health and safety and is required to be performed by a competent construction health and safety person. A CDM Coordinator must be appointed for every construction project that will last longer than 30 days / 500 person days.

If a project is to last more than 30 days or 500 person days, the following legal requirements apply:

• Appointment of CDM Coordinator
  
• Inform the HSE of the project
• Appoint a Principal Contractor
• Development of Construction Phase Plan prior to construction 
• Provision of welfare facilities
