NEBOSH Construction Certificate

What can you expect from passing the NEBOSH Construction Certificate?

  • Be able to understand the main requirements and application of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007.Be able to understand the factors to consider when carrying out a site assessment; identify construction activity hazards, assess the risks and recommend control measures.

  • Be able to identify the hazards and outline appropriate control measures in the following areas: movement of people and vehicles, manual and mechanical handling, work equipment, electrical, chemical and biological, physical and psychological, working at height, excavation work, confined spaces and demolition.

  • Be able to successfully carry out a safety inspection of a construction workplace identifying hazards, recommending control measures and preparing a management report.

How Long Will it Take?

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate course takes 10 days plus one examination day. This consists of a 2 hour written paper and a practical assessment which involves safety monitoring of a construction site and the production of a formal report under examination conditions.
