CDM Co-ordinator in Practice

This course addresses the roles and responsibilities of the CDM Co-ordinator as required by the CDM Regulations, 2007. In particular, the duty to liaise, communicate, co-operate and co-ordinate with designers, principal contractors and others on behalf of the client. Practical and theoretical experience in techniques under the CDM Regulations is gained with an examiniation of competence at the end.

This course is targeted predominantly at those who practice presently as Planning Supervisors and wish to continue their careers as CDM Co-ordinators; the course also offers a good awareness of responsibilities for clients, designers, and contractors.

  • To understand the law including what to do if the work comes under the CDM Regulations 2007 and Approved Code of Practice

  • To assess whether your particular role or contract is covered by the CDM Regulations 2007

  • To gain an overview of how to effectively manage working on site

  • To monitor the contractors
