Asbestos Analyst
REC's Asbestos analysis is carried out in two main stages:
1. Asbestos Identification
REC Asbestos' fully qualified asbestos analyst will break up sampled materials to identify evidence of any asbestos fibres. If the asbestos analyst finds asbestos fibres, the asbestos analyst will then extract these fibres and use a number of specialised techniques to identify whether these fibres are asbestos fibres and which asbestos type they are.
2. Asbestos Laboratory Report
REC's asbestos laboratories are fully UKAS accredited for asbestos sample analysis ensuring each REC asbestos analyst adheres to the strict procedures set out in the UKAS accreditation standards and regularly undergo UKAS audits to maintain compliance. REC Asbestos' laboratory reports indicate either a positive or negative asbestos identification and which types of asbestos were found if the asbestos indentification in positive.
